Welcome to Parsons Art and Fitness

Children will create unique, hand-made objects based on a theme with wet clay. Each project entails the completion of two classes, one for molding and the next class for glazing. Classes can be done as a special event or can be bundled into a set of six classes. Ceramics just entails one class whereby students simply glaze a piece of their choice.  This options has an added fee of $3 per item.

Children will work on a simple beading project using only quality glass or ceramic beads. These classes can also be done for a special event or bundled into a set of six classes.

Music-in-Me is an early childhood musical program that invites and encourages children to begin their musical journeys with us. Many recent studies show that an early introduction to music enhances children’s brain development, spacial intelligence, problem solving skills and mathematical ability. Additionally, children will gain an appreciation for the wonderful world of music in all its various forms as a means of cultural and personal expression. Children will develop motor skills, listening 

Participants will create, simple, elegant objects in clay. Older adults tend to find the process of artistic creation incredibly therapeutic both emotionally and physically as well as uplifting. Participation in the arts most often generates a profound sense of accomplishment and purpose and you will find that they sincerley look forward to the classes. 

A subject matter still life will be provided at each class as will the canvas, brushes and paints. This class is also deeply therapeutic and calming. Great therapy for eyes and hands! No experience necessary!
